123 St Vincent Street

Year of Completion: 1999
Architect/Designer: BDG McColl

The gigantic hoarding on 123 St Vincent Street, which is thought to be the UK's largest-ever decorative hoarding, was a huge challenge for all involved.

Over 2,400 square metres of vinyl coated polyester were used to cover the space. The massive images, which also wrap around the corners of the building onto the Hope Street facade were designed by BDG McColl along with the floodlighting.

Architen Landrell installed and stretch mounted the panles within an aluminium framing system bolted to a 4.5 metre deep steel facade retention structure. Te architects designed a fully glazed office building to be constructed within the existing facade.
