Helsinki Christmas Banners

Client: Finnish Postal Service    Year of Completion: 1994

As a greeting to all their customers and potential customers in 1994, the Finnish Postal Service decided to send them an extra large message!

The giant banner, stretching from the top to the bottom of the main Post Office in Helsinki, wished everyone a Happy Christmas as they walked and drove past and of course promoted the Christmas themed stamps which had been newly released. It even adorned the back of our director's door throughout the Christmas period!

Manufacture and printing were carried out in the UK but Architen Landrell travelled to Helsinki to carry out the installation. Interestingly, installation was carried out during the day but in the dark! At this time of year, Finland sees very little sunlight at all so day and night become the same!
