Kingston University
When offices at Kingston University were refurbished to make them more light and airy, contractors Dovehouse Interiors wanted to include some form of solar shading to the glazed roof.
Architen Landrell was commissioned to install a series of scalloped fabric panels down the length of the room and achieving maximum coverage. Additionally, the panels were designed to pivot to allow for adjustment and access to the glass behind for cleaning.
Maintenance of the fabric and the glass has been made as easy as possible and the panels effectively reduce the glare from the roof. Both effective and aesthetically pleasing – the project was a thorough success!
