Oldham Library

Year of Completion: 2006
Architect/Designer: Pringle Richards Sharratt    Main Contractor/Customer: Kier North West

Added to the existing Art Gallery in Oldham the brand new library building is a welcome addition to the already thriving Manchester cultural scene.

Working closely with architect Pringle Richards Sharratt, Architen Landrell was commissioned to design, manufacture and install a number of skylight panels to combat the problem of solar glare. The new panels were designed to match the existing panels in the gallery as much as possible to ensure consistency.

In addition, Architen Landrell also installed roof insulation for the area and an MDF raft in on the of the conference rooms. Lit with artistic lighting, the ceiling panels provided an aesthetic feature for the spaces.
