Having worked closely with Lifschutz Davidon Sandilands to create some sun screens at their office, we were approached by Omnifone (tenants of LDS) to create some screens to carry out a similar purpose.
As with the previous installation, Omnifone had a problem with the sun shinning through the sky lights and allowing glare onto the desks below. After surveying the space, we proposed a very similar solution to the panels previously supplied – the installation of a series of rectangular panels into the skylights in order to reduce the solar transmittance.
Using E-Screen mesh to fabricate the panels allowed some light to be transmitted through into the space below but ensured significantly reduced glare.
