A tensile fabric canopy providing rain shelter

Streamstown Park Canopy

Client: LM Developments    Year of Completion: 2009
Architect/Designer: Austen Associates    Main Contractor/Customer: LM Developments

In a high class residential area of Dublin, it’s not just the houses which have to be top of the range! The external environment of Streamstown was given a lot of thought by property company LM Developments and they approached Architen Landrell to design, manufacture and install a tensile fabric canopy.

After an initial design concept was issued by the architect, Architen Landrell were tasking with progressing the scheme into a workable, aesthetically pleasing structure. We worked alongside a local steelwork provider to design the interface between steelwork and fabric which ensured a true fit.

Once designed, we manufactured the fabric covering in our factory in Chepstow and shipped it out to Ireland for installation.  As an overseas project there was little room for error in the manufacture and installation. We had to plan the project extremely carefully with a local specialist in order that when the site team went out to Ireland to install all went as intended.
