Tensile fabric banner cladding

Multi-story car parks are notoriously known as being eye sores in the community. The latest architectural design trend is to clad buildings and car parks in fabric to improve their appearance.

Fabric is a cost effective, low maintenance way to make an immediate impact, changing the face of a building, giving it visual interest.

Case in Point:

For the London 2012 Olympics, Architen Landrell installed 33 fabric panels on the outside of the International Broadcast Centre (IBC). The IBC had an abundance of mechanical and electrical equipment exposed – looking very industrial.

With the IBC being adjacent to the Olympic Park the appearance needed to be softened, blending in with other buildings in the park. The easy solution was designing and installing externally mounted PVC Coated Polyester Mesh fabric panels.

The result is a modern aesthetic building made possible by fabric cladding. Read More
