At the Darien Lakes Theme Park in Buffalo, New York State, Architen Landrell installed a vast PVC coated polyester canopy to cover an amphitheatre.
The Performing Arts Center, which replaced the original Lakeside Amphitheatre and provides almost 4 times as much covered space as the original structure, is a 5000sqm structure which provides cover for 6,000 seats, each with an unobstructed sight line to the stage.
After engineering, the canopy was fabricated in South Wales, UK and shipped to the USA where Architen supervised the installation alongside local labouring firms.
