Portfolio > Qatar Gas Exhibition Canopy
After our successful appointment to work on the inflatable dome at the QatarGas Inaugural exhibition, client WRG Creative Communication Ltd. approached Architen Landrell to design, manufacture and install a free-standing canopy.
The structure was designed to cover an exhibit highlighting the new Qatar Gas Pipeline and was erected as a satellite exhibit to the larger inaugural events. The PVC coated polyester fabric forms a tensile sail covering over 272sqm of exhibition space and is printed with the QatarGas logo to reaffirm the company branding.
By incorporating the skills of the Architen Landrell Lighting Division, we were able to offer the client more than just a canopy. At night the LED lighting panels transformed the exhibit with a wash of colour.
Due to the temporary nature of the structure and the tight regulations regarding ground works on site, pouring concrete foundations was not an option. To attain a suitable alternative, Architen Landrell employed the Platipus Earth anchor system, which we installed ourselves on-site and proved an effective solution.
The event was an undoubted success and the client and Architen Landrell were pleased with the stunning finished result.
